His & Hers by Alice Feeney
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was an intriguing listen! My biggest critique is that I did not like the "third" voice - a different narrator would be better in that role. But the story pulled me in, kept me guessing and I do recommend it!

"Leave the World Behind" by Rumaan Alam
Leave the World Behind by Rumaan Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A family on vacation in a rented home. In a moment -- with a knock on the door -- everything changes -- and keeps on changing.
This story kept me enthralled until the very end. The narrator did a great job with each character and gave them distinct personalities and voices that fit very well. I appreciated that this wasn't a 100% dystopian story, just a threat of it and the possibility that it might be right around the corner. That's something we can all appreciate -- and fear -- these days!

"Camino Winds" by John Grisham
Camino Winds by John Grisham
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Settling in with a good Grisham novel is a comfortable and pleasant place to be. While this didn't have the tension and high pace of some of his earliest thrillers (The Firm, etc.), I still enjoyed every moment that I shared with the characters on Camino Island.

Know My Name: A Memoir
Know My Name by Chanel Miller
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I'm sorry to say that this was a miss for me. While I applaud Chanel's courage in speaking out and publishing her experience, as a reader I did not find it well-written or compelling.

Inside Out
Inside Out by Demi Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
As a child of the 80's, Demi Moore has been a constant source of inspiration and fascination. I really liked getting a peek into the inner working of her mind. As a result, she is more than just a beautiful, successful actress whose life has been splashed all over the tabloids for decades. She is a complex, wounded, caring human and I'm so glad I read her memoir.

The Overdue Life of Amy Byler
The Overdue Life of Amy Byler by Kelly Harms
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was right up my alley. I listened to the audio version and enjoyed it. The librarian in Amy spoke to the book lover in me, and her journey was rewarding.
